Visage, sprouting from London's Soho district in 1978, was at the forefront of the New Wave during the heyday of the post-punk movement. Consisting of Steve Strange, Rusty Egan, and Ultravox's Midge Ure and Billie Currie, alongside Magazine's John McGeoch and Dave Formula, it can be safely said that Visage was certainly the "supergroup" of their time and genre.
